When a screw reaches the collar, the threads and nylon engage for a tight, frictional fit.
Restricts movement of the screw when it is subjected to vibration.
Designed to be used with like-material machine screws and bolts.
Reusable.
Less expensive than Grade C Stover lock nuts.
The nylon collar will begin to deteriorate at temperature from 150° to 350° F.
Proof load: 90,000 psi. minimum.
